Roll up, Roll up!!

Bet you don't have a view like that from your craft room window! Yes folks the circus has come to town. Our garden backs on to the village green (well with a road in between us) and we get alot of events on The Butts-as the green is called. This I don't mind, it finishes by about 10 each night, its the funfair later this year I'm not looking forward to!

I'm nearly there with all the challenges at Bex's forum now

Challenge 15-all stitched up. The Christmas tree is part of an embroidery sample I made for my City and Guilds coursework about 10 years ago. I found them all when we moved house-its noce to be able to put it to some use-I think I'll make some more of these.

Its using the template from Di Hickmans blog this week

Challenge 17 was gorgeous gingham, using one of the badges I got from Monsoon- 50p for 4 of them what a bargain!

Challenge 20 was fun with felt-well it wasn't fun. This was one of those cards that was just hard work y'know? I'm still not happy with it but i think if I fiddle anymore it will just get worse!

Last one of the challenges for this month -the friday night challenge from last week (yeah ok I'm a bit behind) was to make a card with a Monogram.

Off to try the DCM's challenge and one for Carolyns forum too

Yesterdays cards

I do it every night I craft-carry on till silly o'clock then I'm too tired to blog the cards!

So here are yesterdays for the challenges at Bex's forum

First one is Challenge 18-traditional twist using my new Basic Grey christmas papers that Mum hates cos she says they are not remotely christmassy!-oh and a new Wildflowers stamp (I swear I'm addicted to Andra's stamps!)

Next up is challenge 16-turquoise and pink-I like this combination-I made a wedding card using it for the DCM challenge a while back. the stamp is another new one from Andra she very kindly sent me as a freebie-I am going to use that one alot

Finally challenge 19-slip and slide. Again more Wildflower stamps-but ones I've had for ages and not used yet-I have no idea why I just couldn't make them work before.

Now I'm off to catch up on a few more challenges-just don't think I have the energy to drag the sewing machine out tonight!

I got stash!

Today I had a lovely lot of parcels froom the postie. 2 cookbooks, the wormery and a huge pile of stash from Bubbly funk, including the August kit. You got two gorgeous alphabet stamps with it-and I'm very impressed with them-they print out beautifully.

I've already used them for this card for a challenge at Bex's forum. I'm still trying to catch up with this months challenges and now there will be more this weekend!!!! The challenge was Word Play-so I used Hoppy Birthday .
The others are for the large number challenge and the corrugated card one

Di Hickman's challenge

I thought at first the template was a little simple this week-but I love it! Definitely going to use this one again-thanks Di

I've lent my mum all my dies until Tuesday-not sure how I'll cope till then heheh, but we have a busy weekend planned hacking back the garden anyway. I've also been very bad (it was Kathy's fault) and I've ordered a load of papers and a gorgeous rabbit stamp from Bubbly Funk. Just hope I sell enough junk on Ebay this week to cover it.

Off to try another challenge or two at Bex's forum-I have a Monsoon tag screaming to go on a card-then we have ourt induction at the gym. who thought I'd still be concious enough at 9 o'clock at night to do that!!?!!

I've moved (hopefully)

Well wordpress was driving me nuts so I've shuffled over here. Please excuse the duplicate post from the old blog!

Finally taken the plunge-I’ve ordered a wormery! I’ve wanted one for ages and after a natter with a friend this afternoon I decided to go for it-my parents will of course think I’m mad.
We’re trying to go green as much as practically and financially possible- we need another 2 water butts and a compost bin yet. for some reason DH wouldn’t empty out mine and bring it when we moved house!
I decided to take the day off today-so got more of the jungle hacked back- the hedge was 7ft deep in places then had a coffee with a friend and then made a few cards-all in all a nice relaxing day
This is for the Daring Cardmakers mid week challenge-it had to be stripey and dotty.

Next was for the Caarvarks challenge-it had to include fibres-I normally end up making tags when I use fibres so I tried really hard to be different!
